Quiet

Though few may be Listening, I know I've been quiet on here Been busy doing school apps, job searching and working on my stuff Beats has been the focus for a couple weeks-- I have a tonnnne that im just sitting on cause I wanna figure out a way to get them HEARD before I do anything gonna start a series called the Sleeptapes which are just tapes with themes, beats and thoughts. Actually Im already (long) done with part one! Working on Part two now...part two is making me feel very very good and I think people will like it. The theme is Africa anyway, just felt like saying a little before I go full out with this blogging thing again. Look for an EXPLOSION of Effi stuff at the end of February, beggining of March--if you care, otherwise look in retrospect when you're FORCED to care. HA! lol...I know I'm quite pathetic. Anyway keep checking back for the goodness. SWD

HAITI (Poem By Aminah)

My Friend Aminah wrote this and its great and I cant stop thinking about the Earthquake so I appreciate it alot. Hope to find more poetry about it...Enjoy! Haiti. Haiti, Rebels of slavery, land of the free, You broke the shackles and taught Latin America liberty. Oh Haiti, They’ve forgotten you, Another lost land suffering alone in this selfish world. I heard François scream as he found his mother bleeding out his baby sister, I held Marie back from joining her father floating in Riviere l'Artibonite to peace. Cité Soleil was no longer the most dangerous place on earth, Children were running to dead ends, Learning to thieve, Pull triggers, To save our people. What’s more dangerous than this? No hope, So why live? [Hit Fullpost to Continue] Even the deaf woman heard shrieks of "au secours"! The blind man said it was the coming and he saw the light, The prostitute fell to the ground in prostration whispering a silent prayer into the rubble, The old man said it was time to return to the creator, The young girl held her elderly teddy bear and said she was scared to die, I cry, praying we all care. Haiti, Tell me do you remember how the tongue feels when something sweet touches it, What does water taste like when your body is withered away? Does medicine taste nice when you think of HIV/Aids? How does it to feel to breathe rusty heavy air with collapsing lungs? Oh Haiti, We saw the Roman Catholic priest thank God for his blessings, We saw the atheist curse the higher power, We saw the nature lovers curse the evils of this world, We’re thinking of you with peace. When will we care? Remember? Feel? Do? Afghanistan, Rwanda, Lebanon, Palestine, Somalia, Iraq. Until war, suffering, pain, death, heartache, destruction reaches your land, The day you hold your mother with disconnected body parts, Your father with bullet wounds, Your brother of malnutrition, And your sister raped by the world, Will you not care? Please don’t let Haiti become another story of forgotten lands, Help your brother and sisters of the world, Give what you can: http://www.islamic-relief.org.uk/haitiEarthquake.aspx
