This is an AMAZING documentary series that studies humans as if they were animals. Honestly it's changed so much about how I see the world and interact with people.
It just makes life and social interaction alot more fun and interesting, if that's even possible :-)

The Sleeptapes are a series of themed sound projects I'm gonna be working on for some time to come. The goal is to build on musical concepts, highlighting ideas and themes within the world that I find interesting and worthy of being shared. They will be projects that explore both novelty and relevancy, ostenticity and austerity, rote and improvisation, order and chaos and other such ideas. It'll all ofcourse be extremely indicative of who I am as an artist and what I would like to say about the world.
This first one was the product of me just messing around, trying new things by combining melodies from my head with audio bites that were floating around me at the time. Though it's not my best work or as polished as I would like, it's important because it sets the tone for the projects to come. I think of it as an introduction to the whole sequence.
So enjoy! Put it on your ipod or something.

White Lightnin'
Yall gotta watch this. It's one of the best films I've seen in a long time, also one of the scariest (even though it's not strictly a horror movie) It def gives me the chills!
Check it out, unless you're squemish. Cause there's lots of violence. It's really quite brilliant though.
Also Megavideo only allows you to watch a certain amount of minutes in one sitting so prepare to take a 30 minute break towards the end :-) The price we pay for pirating!

i thought about writing a long bit detailing what I had been up to for the past 6 months, current things I'm working on and why exactly the blog has been down for all this time. As I was editing said monster paragraph however, I had a funny inner revelation: 'who cares?' There's noway anyone would actually read it all. So Eff it, I'm just get back into it.
if you're here for the first time, this is Sleepwake, a blog by this weird kid named Effi that explores pretty much anything of interest that occurs in this universe. Much will be covered here. Its also an outlet for my many creative endeavors, which will materialize as soon as my treacherous arch-enemy time permits.
