Mulatu Astatke.

I find it really strange that a lot of people from Ethiopia have heard little to no mention of this guys name, much less his music. Its confusing at first and then just very sad. I just dont understand why Africa sometimes doesn't respect its artists, its ridiculous, at times. The Heliocentrics album is really really good...iv been jamming to it on repeat for a few days.

    and yeah Yohannan I remember I ddnt know that when I watched the film and was thinking- wow why does this movie have such an ethiopian vibe to it!! That was probly the best part of the film.
